a good result to secure Qualification for the Champions League . it will mean an extra few weeks rest for the players with no qualifying round . This will help with the World Cup taking a chunk of their summer Holidays.
The last month of the Season has been disappointing after a tremendous effort up to that .

To put it in perspective we were totally written off at the beginning of the season .
We were close but not close enough in the end . injuries to key players for long spells didn’t help , some the replacements were not as commanding . The main problems were in defense , we had 41 goals scored against us , more than one a game.

If the team is  strengthened in certain areas (we all know which) we will challenge again next season.

I read the following email on Football365 which sums up the Achievments of Arsenal under Arsne Wenger and the levels our expectations have risen in the meantime

North London History
I was sat in the pub last night, as an Arsenal fan, watching the delight of many Spurs fans as they deservedly achieved a top four finish and it suddenly made me realise just what Arsenal have achieved in the last 15 years.

In 1995, had you put money on which of the two North London teams would go on to great things, the money would have been on Spurs. They had recently won the FA Cup and were performing well in the league, Arsenal were bumbling along as usual and had just got rid of Bruce Rioch as manager to place him with some French guy who had been managing in Japan.

The rest as they say is history, but when you read messages from those Arsenal fans moaning and groaning about our efforts in recent years, have a look at the delight of our rivals last night as they achieved a top four finish for the first time in 20 years and realise just how lucky we have been to be an Arsenal fan.

Having said that, please don’t let them finish 3rd, that would be too much to bear!!

That’s All for this season.

I will be updating the site with photos during the summer so if  you have any you would like to feature on the site for next season

Nobody told me anything. I do not care about him, because I am just busy with my own team,” van Persie said.

“There was nothing in it. In football you make tackles. That was one of them.”
